If you’re one of the hundreds of thousands of Verizon account holders, you’ll benefit from a host of features that make cell phone management easy. Verizon makes it easy for cellphone owners to change important settings as well as have a bit of fun at the same time. One feature that stands out from the rest is the ring back tone that many cellphone owners love. It gives account holders the chance to change their music/tones so whenever friends and family call them, they are able to hear their chosen music. However, not all account owners like the feature and they prefer to disable it so their friends and family can dial them without any noise. If you’re one of those people and you’re looking to disable it, here’s a few simple steps that’ll help you do just that.
Log In to Your Verizon Account
The first step to take is to log in to your Verizon account. This can be achieved through their website and you’ll need your username/email and password to gain access. Once you’re there, you’ll be able to change multiple settings to enhance your cellphone management experience. Once you’ve logged into your account, click on “Products & Apps”, which will take you to the next step. You can check out Tech Exploring for a more detailed guide should you need it.
View Your Products
As stated above, your Verizon Wireless account comes with many features and settings which can be altered to suit your needs, so you’ll next need to click on the product you wish to change. There’s usually a list of multiple phone numbers to choose from, so make sure you choose the one that you wish to disable ring back tones for.
Choose Your Feature
You’ll now want to scroll through the list of the many features and settings you can alter. Look out for “Ring Back Tones” on your way through. From there, you’ll see an option next to the service called “Remove from Account”. Click the button and all you’ll need to do from here is confirm your action.
Confirm the Change
Once you’ve removed the ring back tone setting, you’ll need to confirm it. A dialog box will appear giving you the chance to confirm your change. It will also present a table of any charges that have occurred during its use. Such charges will need to be paid for if you haven’t already. You’ll still be able to make the change immediately but it’s just an insight as to what you currently owe.
It only takes a matter of seconds to disable the ring back tones once you’re logged into your Verizon Wireless account. Of course, should you change your mind in the future and want to take advantage of the feature again, you’ll just need to follow the same steps but click “Enable” instead. You can make such changes as regularly as you like and it’s not an extra charge on your bill for you to do so. You can alter any settings and enable/disable features from the Verizon Wireless control panel itself, making management of your cellphone even easier.
